Had to get it - Some of the best quick and easy home recipes from Telephone Company employees who come home after a long day of work and cook for their families and friends. Louisiana is all about Living to Eat, and the recipes in this book encourages that tradition.
Gwen McKee is one of my favorite cookbook authors and she has not failed with her latest effort. This truly is the "Best of the Best" if you're interested in Louisiana cooking. A great compilation of recipes and I would know....born, raised and stayed in Louisiana!
I have first two books and love them, being from the South I wish it had a wider variety of receipes. The pictures are nice, but I would recommend the prior books if you love to cook.
Our family recipe book is in this edition! I wanted to have a copy of this book for that reason.

Great cook book
Cooked the chicken sausage gumbo for Christmas Eve family gathering. Comments were "the best ever tasted." And we are live in Louisiana! Love the cookbook and so do the recipients we gave it to for Christmas.
